Ellis Day Skin Science is reinventing skincare using breakthrough phage science.

CHALLENGES

Launching a website for a niche science-backed product needed careful thinking about the brand strategy, UX design, content, and capabilities.

Ignite defined the UX and developed the eCommerce store for Ellis Day, along with the content that easily conveys the science and product features. We helped develop their design and eCommerce store in a way that conveys the science behind the products and provides the best of eCommerce tools. SCOPE OF WORK

The UX design needed to champion the everyday-use consumer skin-care products, with an emphasis on the science behind the products. Our goal was to build trust and credibility for the brand and its products

Specialized self-paced interactive content was conceptualized and developed to explain how the products work in layman’s terms.

Additional modules were added to highlight the efficacy of the products.

A focus on analytics and A/B testing yielded optimizations to drive conversions. Positioning of content, pricing, visual design, and other elements led to significant improvements in conversions.

Email marketing with deep segmentation based on user activity supports important repeat-buys.

Launch

The successful implementation of marketing strategy, web development, and eCommerce setup paved the way for a promising launch of the product. The product portfolio has steadily grown from one product to six products with multiple combo options.

ONGOING

Consumer-facing eCommerce sites need to continually enhance themselves. Seasonal campaigns such as Black Friday Sales, Easter Sales, Patrick’s day sales, etc. call for a coordinated strategy across website and marketing channels.

We continually develop and integrate other technologies to keep the user engaged (e.g. referrals, give-some-get-some, quiz). We continue to develop landing pages to support various marketing campaigns and also help Ellis Day with SMS marketing and data analysis needs.
